Party Parade 2018
Welcome to
the Party
Parade Website.
Party Parade will continue to give
small grants to local charities in 2018.
Deadline
for Proposals : March 15, 2018
In
the last 29
years, over $1,000,000 has been contributed to community charities
by Party Parade. Party Parade has also created awareness of
the goals, programs, and needs of the charities it has supported.
We are grateful to the community and to the hosts
and guests who have generously supported Party Parade.
Please accept our heartfelt thanks for making Party Parade a success
over the
past 29 years. We
will continue to support local charities. We hope that those of
you who have supported Party Parade in the past will continue
to do so.
The Party Parade
Fund
The Party Parade Fund was created in
1998, the tenth anniversary of Party Parade. Since that time, it has
awarded small grants to many local charities for projects that
might otherwise have fallen through the gaps. The Fund's
recipients in 2017 were:
Ready Kids:
To support their Play Partners program to provide a year's worth of weekly literacy services to low income children.
Quickstart Tennis of Central Virginia
To implement the BrightSTARS tennis program for disadvantaged and
at-risk preschoolers in three schools in Albemarle County, introducing
kids to a lifetime sport and healthy eating.
Elk Hill
To provide support for a scholarship for Elk Hill's Charlottesville summer camp.
