Party Parade 2010

Under Construction

Welcome to the Party Parade Website.

Party Parade will continue to give
small grants to local charities in 2010.

Deadline for Proposals : March 15, 2010

In the last 20 years, over $1,000,000 has been contributed to community charities by Party Parade.
Party Parade has also created awareness of the goals, programs, and needs of the charities it has supported.

We are grateful to the community and to the hosts and guests who have generously supported Party Parade.
Please accept our heartfelt thanks for making Party Parade a success over the past 20 years.
We will continue to support local charities. We hope that those of you who have supported Party Parade in the past will continue to do so.

The Party Parade Fund in 2009

The Party Parade Fund was created in 1998, the tenth anniversary of Party Parade. Since that time, it has awarded small grants to many local charities for needy projects that might have otherwise might fallen through the gaps.  The Fund's recipients in 2009 were:

Children, Youth, & Family Services for the STAR Kids program to help provide pay for a trained STAR Kids Educator to bring Als Pals lessons into two classrooms of at-risk preschool children for an entire year.

Hospice of the Piedmont, in support of the 2009 Hospice Journeys program.  The Journeys program is designed to help children and teens who are struggling with the impending or recent loss of a loved one.

Virginia Discovery Museum, to help subsidize field trips for Head Start and Bright Star participants.  Since exhibits at the museum are particularly appropriate for preschool children, this grant will enable around 400 children and 200 adults to benefit from multiple visits to view exhibits at the Museum.
