Party Parade 2012

Welcome to the Party Parade Website.

Party Parade will continue to give
small grants to local charities in 2012.

Deadline for Proposals : March 15, 2012

In the last 20 years, over $1,000,000 has been contributed to community charities by Party Parade.  Party Parade has also created awareness of the goals, programs, and needs of the charities it has supported.

We are grateful to the community and to the hosts and guests who have generously supported Party Parade.  Please accept our heartfelt thanks for making Party Parade a success over the past 20 years.
We will continue to support local charities. We hope that those of you who have supported Party Parade in the past will continue to do so.

The Party Parade Fund in 2011

The Party Parade Fund was created in 1998, the tenth anniversary of Party Parade. Since that time, it has awarded small grants to many local charities for needy projects that might have otherwise fallen through the gaps.  The Fund's recipients in 2011 were:

Adventure Camp, Inc.
to help provide a “safe camp” experience for children with limb loss from the Charlottesville area.

Kid Pan Alley
to help fund Kid Pan Alley bring the joy of creativity and self-expression to more children in our area.

Children, Youth & Family Services
to provide funds to support bilingual early literacy playgroups in the neighborhoods of Southwood, Blue Ridge Commons, and Park Edge.

Hospice of the Piedmont
to help support transportation for the “Journeys” program for children and teens who are struggling with the impending or recent loss of a loved one
